Pastor David Conley invites you to
join The Methodist Church at Wentzville for...
The Parables of Jesus (September 2010)
Jesus was the greatest storyteller of all time. His parables still have much to teach us, and yet we have read them so often, or have heard them taught or preached to the point that we don’t really hear them.
For example, is Jesus really advocating that people be paid the same amount regardless of the number of hours they work? (Matthew 20)
Is Jesus in favor of taking from those who have little and giving to those who have much? (Matthew 25)
Is the ultimate purpose of parables to keep people from becoming his followers? (Mark 4).
During September, join us as we take a fresh look at these magnificent stories. (sermons)
Giving:
Generosity and Giving is a direct response to our faith and trust in God. All that we have has been given to us by God, and he has entrusted us to manage it wisely. We are called by God to generously share our time, talent, and financial resources.
True Generosity comes from the heart out of faith in God, and we appreciate everyone’s gifts here at the Methodist Church at Wentzville.
We are located at:
725 N Wall St
Wentzville, MO
